Exclusivity and sustainability by Lanzante at Goodwood Festival of Speed
Over the years, Lanzante has showcased a variety of ultra-exclusive cars as part of Goodwood Festival of Speed, which have included some of the biggest talking points of the action-packed weekend. This year, true to form, will be no exception. Alongside the cars, the British automotive engineering specialists will, for the first time, present a range of exclusive and collectable merchandise. These items are inspired by some of the projects which have featured at the Festival.
The team at Lanzante has worked to create a limited run of collectible designs which celebrate three significant projects.
Headlining the 2023 Lanzante capsule collection is a run of three exclusive t-shirt designs, each of which will only be available for a very limited time. Released on each of the three public days of the Festival of Speed, the ‘Run to the Limit’ collection will be strictly restricted with just 30 examples of each available, and only available for the single day. Once these limited items are sold out, or at the end of each day of the Festival, no further examples will be made available, guaranteeing exclusivity. Each t-shirt design is made from 100 percent certified organic materials, and produced by Stanley/Stella, a proud member of the Fair Wear Foundation, working to improve conditions for workers in garment factories.
Two of these artworks, and a unique double car design, will also feature on a range of limited-edition skateboard decks which have been created with the renowned design studio at Garage Welt. Each of these will be numbered, with a run of just 50 examples of each design available from the Lanzante stand over the weekend.
The first of these is a single deck graphic, depicting an example of the team’s latest project – the 930 TAG TURBO. The design shows the iconic red and white chevron livery, paying homage to the livery of the back-to-back championship-winning McLaren racers, the genuine, raced in-period, TAG Formula 1 engines of which are installed in the road-going cars. Two examples of the 930 TAG Turbo will debut at this year’s Festival of Speed, as Porsche celebrates 70 years of the 911 model and McLaren honours 60 years of the team.
The second design showcases a McLaren P1 project, featuring the High Downforce Kit, or ‘HDK’. To create and manage the increased downforce, the ultra-limited run P1 HDK includes heavily revised bodywork, larger rear wing and upgraded suspension. This model, finished in Verde Ermes, featured as part of last year’s Festival of Speed as Lanzante also debuted its track-side brand structure.
The final design is a diptych design – viewed together across two boards – celebrating two McLaren models which the Lanzante team has recently developed and engineered. Both finished in gleaming black, F1 GTR #019R – the first of the ‘longtails’ – and P1 GT-3 have undergone a complete engineering overhaul since the days of track activity. Both are now fitted with roadcar luxuries, and both converted for road use. The artwork outlines the two cars from above, inspired by photography created when both cars were together, shortly after they were completed by the Lanzante team.
Further branded items will be available from the new boutique store, located within the track-side Lanzante stand at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The Ganesh Signature collection comprises a range of Lanzante-branded t-shirts and a weekend bag, as well as small mementoes of the Festival weekend, including pinbadges and keyrings. Being a British engineering company at a British event, an umbrella is also included in the range...
