The McLaren P1 GTR was launched as a track-only model in 2014, with a track driving programme offered to owners of the 58 examples built. Lanzante developed a road conversion for the model shortly after the conclusion of the track programme, with a plan to build around five.

As the first ‘modern’ McLaren road conversion project completed by Lanzante, attention to detail was key to ensure owner comfort and allow for cars to continue to be used and enjoyed beyond the racetrack. Importantly, the conversion is fully reversible, to ensure vehicles can be restored to original track specification as required.

As of the summer 2025, Lanzante has completed and delivered 36 examples of the P1 GTR.
